Solid Oak Financial Services’ Guardian Services
Housing Assistance
Finding and securing housing can be a giant task for anyone these days, especially if it requires filling out government paperwork. Solid Oak Financial Services provides assistance with getting the housing options the ward needs to be safe and secure in their own space.
Safe & Comfortable Living Environment
Residences can be affected by the weather, neighbors, roommates, and naturally-occurring accidents. Solid Oak Financial Services is here to monitor the ward’s living situation to make sure the space is safe and comfortable.
Medical & Transportation Access Assistance
Getting the medical assistance an individual needs can be a confusing array of provider paperwork, insurance, pharmacy communication, and finding specialists – not to mention just getting to the appointments on time. Solid Oak Financial Services can assist with getting the necessary medical services, and making sure the ward gets transportation access for medical appointments.
Care Guidance
Solid Oak Financial Services can coordinate with the ward’s caregivers and medical staff for guidance on their care, to make sure everyone is informed and to create the best care plan possible.
Emergency Guardianship
If a personal crisis occurs, a temporary guardianship can be appointed to assist. This allows for immediate assistance to meet the immediate needs of the ward, while the court is processing the permanent Guardianship.

What Is A Guardian?
Guardians are appointed to make personal decisions for an individual or ward. These decisions might be: where to live, medical care, training, education, and emergency situations.
The ward doesn’t have to be completely incapacitated. If an adult lacks understanding or capacity to make or communicate personal decisions, they can be appointed a guardian. If an adult has an inability to meet their own personal needs for medical care, nutrition, clothing, shelter, or safety, a guardian can also be appointed.
A guardian needs to balance between helping adults get the best care and live the best life possible, and protecting them from exploitation and unsafe situations.
